Support PESP’s transformative work in 2026
December 11, 2025
The Private Equity Stakeholder Project (PESP) was founded in 2017 to address the growing impacts of private equity on people and the planet. We are a resource to the communities, individuals, and organizations grappling with these impacts.
In the coming year, PESP seeks to deepen and expand our activities: shedding light on private equity players and equipping state-level and community-based organizations to protect the rights of millions affected by private equity owned employers, landlords, and healthcare providers.
Through your support we hope to:
- Update our signature private equity trackers which shed light on the companies, healthcare providers, and housing owned by private equity
- Demonstrate how corporate bankruptcies are connected to the private equity industry and its profits-first playbook
- Dive into understanding private equity’s mad rush into AI and data centers and the industry’s connection to rising utility bills for millions of Americans
- Research how private equity has developed new ways to infiltrate our healthcare system, including care for our seniors
- Update the private equity climate scorecard, demonstrating how private equity’s continued investments drive fossil fuel emissions that threaten global wellbeing.
Right now, we cannot count on our government to protect people and our planet or for private equity to act in our interests. But there are still opportunities to drive change.
